Salary: c. £26,000 £20 per hour
The Andover Foodbank was started in 2006 to provide emergency food boxes to people in crisis in and around Andover. We are a community based project using resources within the local community to support those in need. We receive support from churches, schools, groups and companies and work with more than 70 local charities and agencies. In addition to the distribution of food and other items we offer support to help people address the underlying issues behind their crisis. We are part of network of food banks supported by Trussell and work within the Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth.
As Head of Andover Foodbank you will be expected to:
- Lead and manage the operation and ensure it is effective in supporting those in crisis by providing food and essentials, and signposting to agencies who can help with the underlying issues.
- Work with the Committee to guide the development of the Foodbank.
- Lead, manage and motivate the staff and volunteers.
The successful candidate will have first class organisational skills and be able to work on their own initiative prioritising their own workload to set deadlines. They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to lead.
