Catholic Primary Schools in Portsmouth collaborated with the Portsmouth Music Hub last term on a Pilgrims of Hope Song Project. The idea of the song project was to help young people understand the meaning of hope within our Christian communities, the themes associated with Catholic Social Teaching and to learn about the power of prayer. The project was inspired by the teachings of Pope Francis.
Portsmouth Music Hub composed ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ which was learnt by all the Catholic primary schools in Portsmouth and then recorded in their schools and in the Cathedral.
The Portsmouth Music Hub has generously funded the entire project. The song is suitable for KS1, 2 and 3. All resources are free for any school to use and can be found on the Portsmouth Song Source. A fantastic online song resource.
