We recognise the importance of ongoing information sharing, professional development and training for staff and governors in schools.

We offer a range of opportunities and resources to support and develop staff as they work in our schools.

This includes:

  • Termly briefings for headteachers
  • Termly briefings for deputy headteachers and assistant headteachers
  • Day each term for primary RE leaders and prayer and liturgy coordinators
  • Day each term for secondary Heads of RE
  • 2 day programme for primary early career teachers, focussing on Catholic life and mission; RE and prayer and liturgy
  • Day for primary teachers new to the diocese
  • Support for those getting ready for a CSI inspection
  • Update training for CSI inspectors
  • Range of webinars and forums.

For governors, we offer an induction course into being a foundation governor in a Catholic school. For more experienced governors, we offer courses on Catholic life and mission; religious education and prayer and liturgy.

These are all held online in the evenings.

Bespoke School Support/Training

We are also available to providing individual support/training for individual schools or clusters.
